OK, maybe it was only a cup full, but when the only team not to lose a match finally does, I’ve got to talk about it.
Second place Cabin Tavern hosted the undefeated Moose last night, in what started as a blow-out and ended as a tight match. Cabin jumped to an early 6-2 lead in the singles and even won the first doubles, before Moose started on the comeback trail. Unfortunately for Moose it was just a little too late. There were some outstanding moments though, like in Dean and Sean’s doubles match. Dean ramped things up with a 180 and right behind him Sean shot a 125, just missing his 180. Conrad is probably the unsung hero for Moose, since it was his singles game in which he shot a 140 and got the win, really turned thing around for Moose. Pat for the Cabin also keeping things close, shooting a 123 and a 140, also missing his 180’s on the last dart.
Final score Cabin 10 Moose 9.
Hideaway had an in house night, when both Hideaway A and B played each other. Hideaway A won the match 15 to 4, but I think Anna wanted to make the statement that Hideaway B has a shooter, when she shot a 124. Good darts Anna.
Pioneer also had all teams home, when Pioneer A and B played each other for bragging rights. Pioneer A came out on top 15 to 4, however there was no high darts of any kind reported. Either it was a really boring night or they just forgot to write things down. Who knows!
Buckaroo and Flight Deck was the final match of the night, with Flight Deck pulling a minor upset, beating Buckaroo 12 to 7. It appears Duane for Buck’s couldn’t stop the lost, even with his nice 124.
Three regular season weeks left, at this rate I might have to start looking for my fishing pole! Have fun and I’ll see you next week.
