Apparently everyone has their minds on Christmas and not darts this week. Although all scores were reported, there was no real excitement in any of the phone calls. I guess that means everyone is going to have a ho-drum Christmas. Any way onto the scores.

Buckaroo must have been in a hurry to finish their Christmas shopping, since they made short work of Hideaway B, crushing them 18 to 0. Mike was the lead reindeer, shooting a140 to lead his team to victory.

Moose and Pioneer A was at it again and just like last week, Moose gives Pioneer a chunk of coal along with a 13 to 6 lost. Mike the Moose-nugget flattened Pioneer with a 125 and Dean stole one of Pioneer’s presents when he shot a 104 out.

Cabin Tavern and Flight Deck was both in a giving mood. Cabin gave the Flight Deck a 7 to 3 led after the first doubles, and Flight Deck returned the favor giving the Cabin the last 3 doubles and the team game. In the end, the Cabin ended up with the biggest gift winning 12 to 7. Both Mike and Dan for the Flight Deck tried to keep it close shooting a 140 and 135 respectively. But Cabin answered with Rob shooting a 180, Kristi a 132 and Helga a 125. Rob also added a 120 on just to make things look pretty.

Hideaway A and Pioneer B was both fighting over who was going to hang the Christmas stocking. Steve for Pioneer used a big hammer to hang his the stocking shooting a 140, but apparently a lighter touch was needed since Tom tacked a high score of 128 and gave Hideaway A the win 10 to 9.

All teams will receive a gift from the Downtown league in the way of two weeks off. That’s right no league play until 7 January 2010.

So take the rest of the year off and keep looking for that double ring. Pat
